Fat Tuesday! The Mile (Part 1)

Like I promised myself, today was the start of my training.

As an extra committment, I decided to stick to this thing as a part of Lent. I vow to last at least 40 days of training. I can definately do this.

So like I said, I started everything today.

I started the workout off at a park with a 1/2 mile track. It was difficult to keep an idea of my distance.

So after about a quarter of a mile run, I made my way to the other side of my town, to my school's track. The walk over there was a little over a 1 mile.

My school's track is a regular one, with a quarter mile distance around the whole thing. After a quick stretch I jogged a lap, then walked one, jogged one and finished it off with another walk, making it a full mile.

My total jogging time for that was 5:01:44 minutes and the walking was 9:02:04, a total mile time of 14:03:48. Of course this is longer than my tested time, but I only wanted to do the run/walk series to avoid over working myself.

I'll get there. Ohhh yes.
