Buh-Bye MG

I'm not going to worry about my March Goal anymore. I've had too many distractions. Hopefully April will be different.

Tomorrow I'm going to Prescott with my family. The hotel we're staying has a fitness center.

The Mile (Part 8)

Got back from Utah last night. Twenty-Eight total hours in a car of 5 people is not very fun.

I didn't get to run all week so this resulted in a grumpy me.

Today I ran and my mile sucked. Big time.

Lap 1: 2:36.03
Lap 2: 2:34.70
Lap 3: 2:32.06
Lap 4: 2:24.14

Old Time: 9:37.97
New Time: 10:07.92
Difference: -1:30.5

I gained time, which is, of course, not a good thing. Bummer...

Utah = Cold

I'm heading up to Utah to see some family tomorrow morning for four days. All I know is
Utah = Freezing temps, and possibly lack of running. On the way, we're stopping in Vegas to see some more family. Hopefully the hotels we stay at have fitness rooms and at least a dreadmill1.
This way I can still run
some.

Remember how I was supposed to do my offical Mile this week? Well that's not gonna happen since I'll be out of town. And since spring break is next week and goes for two weeks, I'll have to make it up when it starts back up.

Buh bye.

1 Dreadmill: a very monotonous machine used even though you'd rather be outside for a workout

Also, I did a total of 60 push ups. I got home around 6:30 P.M.

Bye for now,

Florence 5k Report

Today was the Florence 5k Fun Run here in my home town. My town is small, so it wasn't very popular.

Me, after the run, looking all grumpy

It was pretty cool, because my little sister won the t-shirt contest and her design was on everybody's shirt. Her prize was a free shirt and a gift basket from our local fudge shop.

Angelica with her prize and design

I didn't notice my time, but the good thing was I walked just around a mile total out of 3.1

Ready for a nap,

Sleep

Since I had just four hours of sleep last night, I slept all day after school today- 3 PM until 9 PM. Bleh.

I have a 5k tomorrow so I hope I'm ready.

Also, everyone should participate in Megan at Living in Luling's St. Patty's Day Virtual 10k (or 5k relay). She has duckies! ^_^

Pooped

I didn't run last night.

Instead I went to watch the midnight premiere of the new Alice in Wonderland. This version sticks more to Through the Looking Glass than Adventures in Wonderland. I recommend reading the books first to get a better understanding of what's going on. Something different, though, is that in the movie she's nineteen years old.

I ate some junk food: Arby's (onion petals, curly fries, mozerella sticks) large lemonade, sips of sweet tea...

And now- I'm tired...

Sleepy,

The Mile (Part 6)

Today I did a mile run, untimed, then I did a .5 mile cool down.

I still had energy left, but some serious side cramps from eating only a half hour before the run.

Night,

Spring is in the Air

Spring is two weeks away, but it is definately in the air!

In P.E. today I ran my hardest in our five minute warm-up. During the five minute warm-ups, each day we have to run around the gym until Walker blows the whistle at the end. I usually run about 6 or 7 laps by the end, but today I ran 12, which is a little more that half a mile. I didn't have much energy left, but I did have some, so I'm proud of that.

Also, Walker told us that next week we are doing the mile. She said it definately won't be a Monday nor or a Friday. This gives me at least seven days, not counting rests. Yikes.

Instead of having a rest tomorrow, I'm going to take one tonight. I need it.

That's all for now folks,
Christina

March Goal

I was going to start my March Goal tomorrow since I had class tonight and was not planning to run. However, class was cancelled and in P.E. I had free time.

Because of the unexpected free time in Phys Ed, Mrs. Walker allowed us to walk laps around the track or work on our abs. I decided to run four laps since I didn't plan to run any more today. I walked a quarter mile for warm up, then I ran a mile without stopping (but I was hella exhausted), then did another quarter mile walk for cool down.
Walker offered to time me, but I said no. I want to be a lot better next time she times me.

This month's goal is 30 miles. Click here to view my progress.
